VENTURA COUNTY MOBILE DOG GROOMING FAQ

Call Us

ANSWERS TO ALL YOUR MOBILE DOG GROOMING QUESTIONS:

What is mobile dog grooming?

Mobile dog grooming brings professional grooming services directly to your home. Our fully equipped grooming van includes everything we need — warm water, grooming tables, dryers, and pet-safe products — so your dog is groomed comfortably right outside your door.

Why is mobile grooming more costly than traditional shop grooming?
Providing mobile grooming services at all times of the day and into the night, the convenience, and the exclusive attention to your pet are all worth paying marginally more for our services.

What is Your Area of Service for Mobile Pet Grooming?

We provide mobile grooming services throughout Ventura County, California, and surrounding areas. We proudly serve Ventura County, including Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Port Hueneme, and Simi Valley. If you’re nearby, give us a call and we’ll let you know if we can come to your area. See our service area page for more information.

Are your groomers all certified?
Absolutely! All of our groomers are trained, certified and licensed to provide grooming services.

Do any of Mobile Units Use Cages?
Absolutely not! The beauty of mobile pet grooming is that it allows us to be so focused exclusively on your pet.  They will be able to walk freely in the van to get comfortable before the grooming starts

What’s included in a standard grooming package?

Our Full Groom usually includes:

  • Warm bath with premium shampoo & conditioner
  • Blow dry and full brush out
  • Haircut or trim (breed-specific or owner preference)
  • Nail trim & file
  • Ear cleaning
  • Anal gland expression (on request)
  • Fragrance finish

How often should my dog be groomed?

Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks, depending on coat type and activity level. Regular grooming keeps their coat healthy, reduces shedding, and prevents matting.

Do you offer flea or tick treatments?

Yes. We offer flea and tick baths using safe, vet-approved products. Please let us know in advance if your dog has an active infestation so we can prepare the right treatment.

Is mobile grooming safe for my dog?

Absolutely. Your dog gets one-on-one attention with no other animals present, no cages, and no long waiting times. It’s often much less stressful than a traditional grooming salon.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can call or text 805-837-1700 or book online through our website. We offer flexible scheduling — mornings, evenings, and weekends — to fit your lifestyle.

Do You Groom Special Needs Dogs?
Yes! We just need to know about the dog and its needs. That's all!

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Most appointments take 1 to 2 hours depending on your dog’s size, coat type, and the services requested. Puppies, large breeds, or dogs with matting may take a bit longer.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

Nope! Our grooming vans are self-contained with their own water supply, power, and climate control. All you need to provide is a safe place to park near your home.

How much does mobile grooming cost?

Prices vary depending on your dog’s breed, size, coat condition, and grooming needs.
Expect to pay a little more than a traditional salon due to the convenience and one-on-one care. Most grooming sessions in Ventura County range from $85–$150 per dog. Call Ventura County Mobile Dog Grooming for an exact quote.

Do you groom all breeds and sizes?

Yes! We groom all breeds and coat types, from tiny Chihuahuas to large Golden Retrievers. Please let us know about your dog’s size and temperament when booking so we can prepare accordingly.

What if my dog is anxious or aggressive?

We specialize in working with nervous or older dogs and always use gentle, calming techniques. If your pet is aggressive or unsafe to groom, we may pause the session and discuss options to keep everyone safe.
